We, the volunteers of Age Friendly Biddeford, envision a livable community connecting those growing up with those growing older through awareness, communications, and advocacy to make our City a lifelong home for all who wish to live here.
Age Friendly Biddeford receives fiscal sponsorship from Heart of Biddeford – a 501(c)(3) public charity. This sponsorship allows us to receive tax-deductible donations and pursue grant funding as a non-profit organization.

Handy Neighbor Program
Handy Neighbor Volunteers assist Biddeford residents with tasks including replacing handrails/light bulbs/ smoke alarms, installing AC units, and performing minor home repairs. Please contact HN for an evaluation of your project. 207-284-3000.

The Age Friendly Biddeford (AFB) Transportation Program, which provides rides to medical appointments for Biddeford residents who are 60 and older, has been in service since December 2023 has grown tremendously since then.

The AFB transportaton service was a winner for me. They have gotten me to all of my physical therapy appointments. It’s just great! I say, support them in any way you can!
I read an article in the Courier about Age Friendly Biddeford and thought to myself…this is what I need! I have used the service several times and even recommended it to my neighbor – who now uses it. All of the drivers have been wonderful…I will continue to use Age Friendly Biddeford. This program was so needed by so many.
I am very grateful for this program. It was difficult to get to all my doctors appointments before…now I don’t worry. This is a blessing and a huge relief to me. Staff is wonderful. So grateful!
